We have a lot of twins in our family. My mother lost a set of twins. Dad said it was between me and Jim which would have been around 1952. She never said a word to me about it in all the time we talked about family. When I was pregnant she did hope that I had twins. She told me she wanted me to have a girl and a boy and be done with it all at once, but I think she was kidding a bit. But then maybe the six of us were a bit overwhelming. I often wonder how she did it when Donna was born. She had a newborn, a year old, a two year old, a four year old, an eight year old and an 11 year old. When Donna entered first grade, Kay was a senior so we were all in school in 1961-62. Can you imagine two three year olds thrown in to that mix?

This is a closeup of Mom in that picture which is why I prefer taking digital copies of pictures rather than scanning -- more detail.
This is Mom and Dad with my oldest sister Kay in 1944.This is Dad and Mom at Michelle Bentley and Ronnie Morgan's wedding.
Today is my parents anniversary. It would have been 66 years. Mom graduated a year before Dad. I never did understand why they didn't wait til school was out to get married, but I have heard it said Dad wanted the same anniversary date as his brother, Jesse. Uncle Jesse and Aunt Nina got married today, too. My grandmother, Dad's mom, signed for Dad to marry since he was only 17 (he didn't turn 18 til the next month) and they waited at Bill Brownings home for Bill to get home and marry them -- which was about ten o'clock in the evening. The next morning Mom got up and went to work in the post office and dad went to school. Not much of a wedding there.

Uncle Grant and Aunt Ada.
Uncle Jesse and Aunt NinaWe had a 50th anniversary party for them in 1993. It was also a day to celebrate the one year birthday of my brother's daughter, Angie's twins, Kelsey and Kortney. I can't believe that they are SEVENTEEN!!!!!!!! Surely I have the years wrong and they can't be that old.
