I am traveling this week and will be doing some research on several stories. Hopefully, I will get through all the material and be able to write the story about Joel & Margaret Greer Wright in the next couple of weeks.
I also am searching for the details on Chat Wright and her time in jail; her story is a hoot.
I will do a bit of searching on Joel and Susannah -- well Joel's parents, but I don't think it will change my mind on which William is his father unless I see something compelling. I spent a lot of time going back over the Chronicles of the Scotch Irish where many Augusta County, Virginia records are and talking with other researchers. But it's not a top priority for me until later in the year when I have time to make another trip where I can go over the documentation.
And, Mack, I haven't forgotten you. I know there is a notation in a notebook somewhere that will tell us where your John Wright is buried. I look forward to going to the Old Annie's grave to see the marker you had erected and to going to the Potter graves. I love working on the family tree.
I may also start looking more into the Meades. I had planned on writing more about them from my interviews. I have a trip planned where I will get to see some records and pictures that will help in that vein and on the Houstons. That will probably be later in the year, too.
I tried to get ahead on stories but I just got into so much other research that I didn't write -- well didn't finish several stories I have going. I will write as often as I am able to.
I also know that you can start on one thing and get sidetracked into many other avenues, and that's fine with me. I like finding all the information I can about my family.
